Colonialism is the practice of one nation dominating over another through political, economic, social, and cultural control. This process leads to indigenous people becoming a marginalized group in their own land while the dominating nation benefits from the land’s resources. Colonialism continues to play a role in our daily lives as normed, dominant culture continues to propagate the values of the dominating nation and indigenous cultures and people are wiped out.
