Tikkun Olam

a concept rooted in Jewish social ethics, literally meaning “to repair the world” or “to improve.” It refers to the idea that all Jews have a responsibility to contribute to improving the world on an individual, communal, and societal level. The concept suggests that we do not have to wait for anyone or anything else to change our world for the better –each individual person is responsible for doing so through kindness, compassion, and empathy [18].
